Burgas District Prosecutor's Office has charged the bus driver who ran over two Burgas police officers.

The punishment he faces is from 3 to 10 years in prison, prosecutor Sonia Petrova announced to the media.

She explained that this was the most severe sentence he could receive, given that he is a minor.

A total of three accusations have been filed in the District Prosecutor's Office-Burgas, prosecutor Maria Markova announced for her part.

One of them is for the flight driver.

All are Syrian citizens, with one of the detained persons having a humanitarian status, and the other two Syrians having the status of permanent residents in the country.

The other two can receive a sentence of 1 to 6 years in prison and a fine of 5 to 20 thousand BGN.

Their charges are for illegal assistance to foreign citizens.

Evidence is being gathered for the remaining detainees, and by the end of the working day there will be enough for a working charge.

A measure of up to 72 hours has been ordered against all detainees, after which their permanent detention will be requested.
