Ingredients to make Besan Appe-

  • 1/2 cup besan

  • 1 medium sized chopped onion

  • 1 medium sized chopped tomato

  • 2 chopped green chilies

  • 3-4 chopped garlic cloves

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 eno fruit salt

  • salt to taste

Besan Appe Recipe At Home:

  • Make a thick batter by adding water to the gram flour.

  • Add chopped onion, chopped tomato, green chilli, garlic clove, salt, turmeric powder, cumin and baking soda and mix well.

  • Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

  • After 10 minutes pre-heat the appe pan.

  • Add 1-2 drops of oil and pour the batter into the appe mold and keep it covered for 2 minutes.

  • Fry it with 2 drops of oil till it turns golden brown from both the sides.

  • Take it out and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
