On August 24, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov received the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elvis Antonio Alam Loran, who is the resident of the Dominican Republic in Ankara.

It was reported that the ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Deputy Minister E. Mammadov.

Deputy Minister E. Mammadov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his work.

He said that despite the geographical distance between Azerbaijan and the Dominican Republic, there is potential for expanding relations in many fields, especially in tourism, humanitarian and educational fields.

The importance of continuing mutual support within the framework of international organizations was emphasized.

Ambassador EAALoran said that Dominica's cooperation with Azerbaijan at all levels is important, and that he will spare no effort to expand cooperation in various directions, especially economic relations.

The deputy minister informed the ambassador about the new situation in the region after the 44-day Patriotic War, the measures taken by us in connection with the implementation of tripartite declarations, and the reconstruction and construction works carried out during the post-conflict period.

At the end of the meeting, the ambassador noted that he will once again work towards the development of relations between our countries.
