 After 6 months of

Russia 's

invasion

of Ukraine (Ukraine War), speculation about the Russian army and economy has intensified due to this war.

Earlier this year,

US

, European officials and analysts predicted that Russia's large army, on the strength of its superior weapons, would soon overcome Ukraine's army.

He also believed that Russian President Vladimir Putin would find himself confined by his weak economy.

According to Bloomberg,

the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Miley, warned the US parliament that Ukraine would come under Russian occupation within 72 hours of the start of the Russian offensive.

President Joe Biden had said that he would mix the ruble in the soil.

Meanwhile, Putin and his close advisers saw Ukraine as a divided country and a country with incompetent leaders with no will to fight.

But these expectations have proved to be horribly wrong.

What happened is that Ukraine is fighting a war to keep its independence for half a year and the war continues even though the result is not clear.

Clearly, as Putin had hoped, Russia's attempt to show global military might is failing.

Questions are being raised about Russia's traditional capabilities.

This has led to further expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Neutral countries Finland and Sweden also now want to join this military camp.

Philip O'Brien, Professor of Strategic Studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, said, "The Russian army is not up to the US. The Russian army is not even equal to the small NATO army."

He said that this war shows that Russia is not capable of conducting such complex operations as the British, French or Israelis can.

So in this case Russia is not even a second-rate military power.
