Five tourists died and six were injured today in a serious accident of a jeep in the area of ​​the Turkish resort of Marmaris (Mugla district), reported the Turkish TV stations TRT-Haber and NTV, quoted by BTA.

According to NTV, the tourists are citizens of Iraq.

The accident happened after the jeep carrying the people on safari overturned on the road to Datcha town area.

The accident is believed to have taken place as the road was slippery due to heavy rain.

Many ambulances, firefighters and police teams were dispatched to the area.
