The father of a young Kenyan woman who drowned in a pool in Canada while broadcasting live on Facebook said he cried as he watched the video as he watched his daughter lose her life.

In the video, 23-year-old paramedic Helen Wendy Niabuto, her followers witnessed her desperate struggle to surface after the girl dived into the deepest part of the pool.

A few hours later, Niabuto's body was found and pulled from the bottom of the pool.

Her brother explained that the incident happened in Ontario, where she worked at one of the local hospitals.
