The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, delivered a speech at the Summit of the International Platform for Crimea, in front of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmigal, and representatives from Crimea as well as leaders of NATO member countries and the EU, including the highest figures of the Union.

"I am here to confirm the strong and clear support of the Republic of North Macedonia: for the unifying character of Ukraine, for its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the inviolability of its borders," said Prime Minister Kovacevski.

He showed that with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, in the founding summit of the Crimean Platform, last year, on this date, North Macedonia clearly and without reservations reconfirmed its position on the side of the protection of international humanity. for respecting the norms that protect human rights, provided for in the resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations and in the decisions of other international organizations.

"Russian aggression against Ukraine is an impermissible violation of international law.

We strongly condemn the military attacks on Ukraine by the Russian Federation and the crimes committed by Russian forces against the civilian population.

Therefore, the Republic of North Macedonia positioned itself one hundred percent in accordance with the policies of the European Union, regarding the war in Ukraine, and we joined all restrictive measures and sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Joining the activities and policies of the EU and the democratic world means for us to stay on the right side, at the right moment", assessed Prime Minister Kovacevski.

He emphasized that the end of the war in Ukraine will not bring the victims back to life, but the end of the war, a day before, will prevent new victims.

It will also give a chance for the rehabilitation of world economies and this is necessary and is the expectation of the citizens from the political leadership.

In addition to Prime Minister Kovacevski, Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fatmire Isaki also participated in the second Summit of the International Platform for Crimea.
