The European Interclub Taekwondo Championship has started in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

According to the Apasport.az website, the start of the 5-day competition was successful for the Azerbaijani teams.

Our taekwondo players won 9 medals - 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals in various clubs.

Under the leadership of head coach Ilkin Shahbazov, the students of "Umid" reached the podium 4 times.

Sabir Mammadli (27 kg), who defeated all his opponents, won the gold medal.

Joshgun Mammadzade (33 kg), who lost only in the final, took the second place.

Rasim Garayev (27 kg) and Kanan Balayev (30 kg) settled for a bronze medal.

Taekwondo player of "Gadabey" Sports Club Hasan Suleymanov also won the title of champion.

The team of its head coach, Beyrak Bagirov, competing in the 44 kg weight category, stood out with its confident performance and climbed to the top of the podium.

Mehman Ganbarov from "Fortis" (27 kg) also entered the list of winners.

He added a bronze medal to his medal collection.

Two taekwondo players of "Alov" raised the flag of Azerbaijan.

Ali Huseynli (44 kg) took the 2nd place and Isa Huseynli (40 kg) took the 3rd place among the athletes given a chance by the head coach Asim Khudiyev.

Vugar Karimov (68 kg) won the 9th medal of the day for the asset of our country.

He finished second in the European Championship among veterans.

It should be noted that in the coming days, taekwondo players of young and old age groups will be competing.
