Torrential rains damaged two houses in Gwad village.

Monsoon clouds are raining heavily in different parts of the country.

On one hand, people are getting relief from the rain.

On the other hand, it has become a disaster for the people.

The Darhali river in Rajouri district is in spate due to torrential rains in the upper reaches of Pir Panjal mountain range of Jammu and Kashmir, causing a flood-like situation. 

Here, Uttarakhand has also been raining heavily for the past few days.

Due to continuous heavy rains, the flow of water in the Ganges river in Rishikesh has increased.

The residential areas around the river have been submerged in water.

Significantly, four people were killed and 10 people went missing in a series of cloudburst incidents in different parts of Uttarakhand in the early hours of Saturday.

At the same time, many rivers in the state are in spate, due to which the bridges have been washed away.

In Tehri district's Gwad village, torrential rains damaged two houses, leaving seven people buried under the rubble.

Tehri District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar said that two bodies have been recovered from the debris.

He said that an elderly woman died of suffocation due to being buried under the rubble in Kothar village.

A house collapsed in Binak village of Pauri district, killing 70-year-old Darshani Devi.


Due to torrential rains in Odisha, the flood waters of the Mahanadi in many districts have created problems in the lives of many people.

At the same time, this river has become the center of attraction for some tourists and they have gathered to see the overflowing river.

Hundreds of people have gathered at Mundali, Naraj and Jobra barrages in Cuttack district to watch the river in spate in the last two days.
