Munawar Faruqui's show has been canceled

Standup comedian Munawwar Farooqui's show in Mumbai on Sunday has been cancelled.

The show was supposed to be held at the Y Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai, but the show was canceled after the police did not get permission.

This is Munawwar Farooqui's second show to be canceled in a week.

Earlier, Bengaluru Police had not given permission to organize Munawwar Farooqui's show Dongri to Know Where last week.

The show was supposed to happen on Saturday.

However, on August 20, Munavwar Hussain's show took place in Hyderabad amidst heavy police security.

Many religious organizations had threatened to disturb the show.

Many party leaders including BJP MLA Raja Singh had opposed the event.

The Hyderabad Police had detained several BJP leaders and leaders of religious organizations.

Munavwar was arrested in Madhya Pradesh earlier this year for insulting Hindu deities.
