Five robbers, including a person involved in the "Bonchi gang" and his sister-in-law, were caught by the police near Kanavani Pulia in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram police station area on Thursday morning.

The gangster Asif alias Bonchi alias Salman was absconding for the last several months in more than 26 incidents of the district.

However, the gang has so far carried out more than 100 robbery incidents in Delhi-NCR.

Police have recovered 315 bore pistol, three knives, two mobile phones looted, Rs 7500 in cash and the bike used in the incident from him.

Circle Officer Indirapuram Abhay Kumar Mishra said that the gang leader Asif alias Bonchi is very clever.

After collecting four to five mobiles in a day, Naresh alias Bone used to sell them to his sister-in-law Seema alias Baji for Rs 800 to 4 thousand.

Then Seema used to earn huge profits by selling those mobiles with parts in different markets. 

The leader of the gang used to keep Seema in his defense as well, the place where he was caught, only then Seema used to reach there and make the mobile disappear.

At the same time, in many incidents, people did not even suspect because of Bonchi's height being only about four and a half feet.

About 16 days ago, Bonchi, along with Kolam, robbed an iPhone from a girl near Jaipuria Sunrise Green.

A month ago, Naresh alias Bone and Moin Malik robbed the realme phone in Shaktikhand-2.

A case is registered against every member of the gang

Indirapuram police station in-charge Devpal Singh Pundir told that every member of the gang has a case registered.

There are 26 cases against the kingpin Asif alias Bonchi in Indirapuram, Delhi, Kaushambi, Kavinagar and Sahibabad police stations.

While seven cases are registered against Salman alias Kolam, four against Naresh alias Bone, six against Moin and two against Seema alias Baji in Indirapuram police station.

During interrogation, it also came to light that Seema used to sell mobiles to passersby for Rs 150 to 1200.
