New Delhi:

Supertech's 40-storey Noida Twin Towers will be demolished on August 28 at 2.30 pm as per the order of the Supreme Court.

Ammo is ready for this.

At the same time, the people around have been asked to stay away from it at that time.

It was made in violation of the rules.

The nearly 100-metre-high building was earlier supposed to be demolished on August 21, but the Supreme Court accepted the Noida authority's request for extension of the date, extending it to August 28.

Located in Sector 93B of Noida, this twin tower has more than 900 flats and 21 shops.

Residents of adjoining societies Emerald Court and ATS Village have been asked to vacate the house by 7 am on August 28.

People can then return home after 4 pm on the same day.

According to officials, over 3,500 kg of explosives will be filled in around 9,400 holes drilled in the pillars and walls of the twin towers' structure.

Earlier this week, several trucks laden with explosives were seen arriving there.

RWA Supertech Chairman Uday Kumar Tevatia said, “People are scared, but they are also aware that experts are demolishing this building. Even experts from UK have been roped in. We are from God. Praying. The effect of this blast will be felt within a radius of 50 meters."

No vehicles of both the societies will be allowed in the area during the demolition exercise.

During this, the Noida Authority will provide parking space for them.

The evacuation plan was finalized in a meeting held at the Noida Authority office on Thursday, which was attended by representatives of residents' groups from two nearby societies, Demolis firm Edphis Engineering, local police, fire department, among others.

The movement of vehicles on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near the Twin Towers will be closed from 2:15 pm to 2.45 pm.

At the same time, fire tenders, ambulances etc., required for emergency services, will be parked in front of the twin towers on the road behind the park.
