Have you ever deleted a message you didn't mean to delete, or selected the wrong image to delete?

Well, WhatsApp is said to be working on a fix that will allow users to recover the same messages they accidentally deleted, Telegraph reports.

The company has launched an undo option for some users in a beta version of the app.

When these users delete a message, a bar with an 'undo' button appears at the bottom of their screen.

When the button is clicked, the message is returned.

Along with other features in the testing pipeline – such as editing messages and saving chats to disappear – the 'undo' option may find its way to regular app users.

But there are no guarantees at this stage, according to tech website Android Police.

As well as preventing you from re-typing the same message you deleted by mistake, the feature would help users who have accidentally selected the 'Delete for me' button instead of the 'Delete for everyone' button in a group chat.

Being able to retrieve that message will allow you to properly delete it after you retrieve it.
