The District Prosecutor's Office in Stara Zagora submitted to the court a request for a remand "detention in custody" in relation to the 40-year-old driver of the Serbian bus who crashed on August 14 on the Trakia highway, the prosecutor's office announced.

The District Court of Stara Zagora is scheduled to schedule a court session today to consider the case.

According to the prosecution, D.K.

violated the rules of the road, namely that "drivers are obliged to control the road vehicles they drive at all times".

As a result, 12 children between the ages of 6 and 16 and two adults were negligently caused moderate bodily harm. 

The driver of the crashed Serbian bus was detained for 24 hours

The investigation is ongoing.
