APA reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released information about this.

It was noted that most of the firefighting operations are carried out in complex mountainous terrain, which is inconvenient for the movement of equipment and personnel.

More than 1,140 personnel and 120 pieces of equipment of various purposes are used from relevant state institutions in the measures to fight fires that occurred in the forest and forest-surrounding areas in Shabran, Gabala, Guba, Siyazan and Khachmaz districts.

Thus, more than 740 personnel and up to 80 special equipment of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, North and North-West regional centers, Civil defense troops and Special Risk Rescue Service, including the Aviation detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, were involved in fire fighting activities. "BE 200 CS" amphibious aircraft and 2 helicopters are participating.

In addition, more than 400 personnel and more than 40 pieces of equipment from the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and local executive authorities were involved in fire extinguishing operations.

Also, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and "Azersu" JSC are closely involved in fire prevention.

Currently, cooling works are being carried out in the areas where the fire took place.

Despite the hot and windy weather conditions, operations are continued with the aim of completely extinguishing the fires.
