The Argentine ambassador to Cuba, Luis Alfredo Ilarregui, presented a donation to the Faustino Pérez provincial hospital in Matanzas,

consisting of seven tons of medical supplies, equivalent to 55,000 dollars. 

"Bounds of brotherhood unite us to this beloved land, and now together with the pain, after the tragedy of the fire, we are with you," said Ilarregui.

According to a statement issued a few days ago by the Argentine Foreign Ministry,

10,000 gloves would be delivered;

500 protective suits;

2,400 kits of gowns, caps and boots;

20,000 triple-layer face masks;

10,000KN95;

50 infrared thermometers and 1,000 plastic aprons, among others.

In addition, 1,150,000 latex gloves were collected

from the province of Buenos Aires ;

30 packs of cotton;

more than 300 units of catheters, gauzes and bandages.

During the last few days, deputies from the Frente de Todos political coalition and several organizations such as the Frente Grande and Somos Barrios de Pie expressed their support for the government and people of the island and expressed their confidence that Cuba will overcome these difficult times.

Messages were also sent to the Caribbean nation by the Descamisados ​​Peronist Current, the Latin American Federation of Journalists and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), whose pro tempore presidency occupies this country.

For its part, the Argentine Movement of Solidarity, the Association of Graduates in the largest of the Antilles and the Union of Cuban Residents began a campaign to gather supplies and medicines with the purpose of collaborating with recovery actions.

Argentina is one of the countries that has offered solidarity to Cuba after the fire at the supertanker base in Matanzas.
