synchronized the National Electroenergetic System (SEN)

 at 8:14 p.m. this Tuesday, after a necessary 15-day maintenance.

Yeranis Zurita García, general director of the industry, declared to the

Cuban News Agency

that

after the recent entry to the SEN they are increasing the load to reach 120 megawatts.

He explained that last Monday they turned on the boiler to start the start-up, which went smoothly.

On August 2, engineers and workers from the entity and from the Power Plant Maintenance Company began repair work in two 24-hour shifts, with emphasis on the boiler and the oven's ashtray.

Zurita García indicated that

the works went according to the planned schedule, although from the reviews they detected other faults that were also corrected

, such as sealing defects in the boiler head vestibule and gas leaks from two torches.

Among the other tasks undertaken, Yunior Estrada Zambrano, head of plant maintenance, mentioned the rehabilitation of the burners, the change of the suction wells of the condensate pumps and the solution of a fault in the six kiloVolt cable.

From January to July of this year, the Cienfuegos thermoelectric plant exceeded generation by 146 percent

, with a behavior of 20 percent above the national average.

More than 40 occasions as a National Vanguard group endorse the trajectory of "Carlos Manuel de Céspedes", considered the most stable in Cuba.
