The director of the Directorate of the Financial Police Muaremi informed yesterday that of his own volition he is resigning from the post, taking into account the decision of the Chief Prosecutor Jovevski to start procedures to confirm the disciplinary responsibility of three prosecutors and to suspend Vilma Ruskoska from the post of the main state prosecutor for fighting with organized crime and corruption.

The Attorney General's decision sends a clear message that the law must be obeyed by all and that abuses of office for personal gain are unacceptable, the Financial Police Authority said.

Muaremi announced at the beginning of the month that he would file criminal charges against prosecutors Vilma Ruskoska, Ivana Trajcheva and Elizabeta Yosifovska for abuse of office and falsification of an official document.
