The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, will today meet separately with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, a day before the meeting of the two leaders in Brussels.

This is how it is announced in the NATO announcements regarding these two meetings, reports Telegrafi.

After these two meetings of the head of NATO, there will also be a press conference with Kurti and Vucic.

The media conference between Stoltenberg and Vucic will be held at 3:30 p.m., while the one with Prime Minister Kurti will be held at 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, on August 18, the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, are expected to meet in Brussels after the tension in the situation in the north due to the establishment of reciprocity towards Serbia.

Before the meeting in Brussels, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, had a telephone conversation with the adviser of the State Department, Derek Chollet, as well as with the envoy of Great Britain for the Balkans, Stuart Peach.

Kurti, in an article on Twitter, called the conversation with the adviser of the State Department, Derek Chollet, a "fruitful phone call".

As the prime minister said, the conversation was related to the dialogue with Serbia, focusing on the need to reach an agreement centered on mutual recognition.

"A fruitful telephone conversation with the adviser of the State Department (Derek Chollet), regarding many issues, including the dialogue with Serbia;

the importance of reaching an agreement centered on mutual recognition".

Earlier on Tuesday, Kurti had a telephone conversation with the United Kingdom's special envoy for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach.

As Kurti announced on Twitter, they discussed the meetings in Brussels and the importance of a mutual recognition agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.

"Before the discussions in Brussels, I had a productive phone call with the special envoy for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach, emphasizing the need for an agreement focused on mutual recognition and good neighborly relations," Kurti declared.

One day before the August 18 meeting, the European Union published the agenda of the Kurti-Vučić meeting, while it was said that they will focus on the normalization agreement.

The meeting, which will start at 10:30, will be mediated by the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, supported by the Special Envoy, Miroslav Lajcak.

"On Thursday, August 18, the high-level Kosovo-Serbia dialogue meeting will be held in Brussels.

He will be assisted by the High Representative, Josep Borrell, supported by the EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak".

Also, it is known that the current issues will be addressed with the aim, as it is said, of alleviating the current tension in the field.
