The exercises are part of the current bilateral annual cooperation agreement, the military department also stated, quoted by BNR.

Similar joint exercises involving China, led by Russia, have been held in recent years.

The aim is to deepen practical and friendly cooperation with the armies of the participating countries, raise the level of strategic cooperation between the countries and strengthen the ability to respond to various security threats, the statement said.
