The work of the Mixed Commission is unsatisfactory, assesses its vice-president from the Bulgarian side, Naum Kajchev.

The historian expects that the recommendations approved so far will be implemented both in Macedonia and in Bulgaria.

In response to a BTV journalist's question, Kajčev says that if Skopje does not implement what has been agreed, there is a mechanism to hinder the negotiation process with the EU, but such a decision is in the hands of politicians .

"Then it is the duty of the other party to say that - here the decisions of the Intergovernmental Commission have not been implemented, which means that the Agreement is not fulfilled.

Thus, there would be unpleasant consequences for the implementation of the Agreement, which brings other consequences", said Naum Kajchev - Bulgarian historian.

Even the deputy prime minister for European affairs, Bojan Maricic, said that what was agreed between the historians must be fulfilled on the basis of reciprocity, that is, at the same moment when Sofia will do it.

For this, Maricic adds, working groups have already been formed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which are in charge of implementing the historians' recommendations.

"With the Protocol that was signed last month, the governments have an obligation within two years, after the same result has been achieved, to implement it.

Of course, this is done in stages and goes through the filters of the institutions.

For us, it is important that this discussion continues and that the results of the work of the History Commission be accepted in society, without affecting our identity, and I am sure that it can be done", said Bojan Maricic - Deputy Prime Minister of European Affairs.

On the other hand, OBRM-PDUKM accuses that historical issues have turned into ultimatums in this process.

"Since the situation shows that Bulgarian historians celebrate while ours criticize every day and give a million reasons why this topic should not be opened, it more than clearly speaks that the agreement is harmful", declared Gordana Dimitrieska-Koçoska, vice president of OBRM-PDUKM .

Previously, the historians, members of the Commission from the Macedonian side emphasized that the implementation of their recommendations is now in the hands of the Government and educational institutions.

They informed that the Commission's autonomy has been respected and they have not been subject to political suggestions, and they made the recommendations together with their Bulgarian colleagues, after having found factual errors and omissions in the textbooks./Alsat/
