This scene is quite frightening.
Let us inform that due to the incessant rains, due to the strong flow in the Hati river, many areas of Junagadh block of Kalahandi district have been flooded.
Significantly, once again a low-pressure area is forming over the Bay of Bengal, due to which 'moderate floods' are being created in the Mahanadi of Odisha, while torrential rains have continued in the state for the last one week.
According to the Meteorological Center, the low pressure of air located about 70 km northeast of Balasore is now moving towards northwest.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) P.K.
Jena said that since the rains have intensified in some parts of the state including the upper catchment area of Mahanadi, the state government is anticipating 'moderate floods' this time.
The administration had faced a similar situation in August 2019.
District officials have been asked to evacuate people from low-lying areas.
