The car with the unconscious driver traveled over 25 kilometers on the highway before the police could stop it.

The car had the cruise control system for programming the speed and the lane in which it moves - it seems that the driver's hands remained on the button and the system thus remained active.

As Revijahak reports, the incident took place on the E314 highway in the northern part of Belgium, Telegrafi reports.

The drivers who were driving their motor vehicles along this highway, had noticed that a Renault Clio was moving left and right and thus immediately notified the police.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police confirmed that an unconscious man was found near the wheel and thus attempted to stop the vehicle.

The police car positioned itself in front of the Clio, and began to slow down in order for the Renault to lean into it and lose speed.

The driver who had lost consciousness was taken to the hospital, and nothing is currently known about his state of health.
