8,538 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation for compliance with the Law on Road Traffic, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

11,060 drivers and passengers were checked.

To date, 2,325 slips and 631 acts have been drawn up for established administrative violations.

Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers. 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs found 23 drunk drivers in one day

Within the past day, a total of 25 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after using alcohol - 11 of them drove after using alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 14 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, one has refused a test.

12 people were caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and seven others, stopped for inspection, refused to be tested.
