The Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) is conducting trainings on "Humanitarian demining" and "Battlefield clearance" for new recruits of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Internal Troops.

According to the information provided by ANAMA to APA, within the framework of the exercises, the rules for using mine-detecting devices and hand tools applied in humanitarian demining operations, detecting mines and unexploded ordnance, marking the area, as well as applying the methodology of clearing the battlefield, searching the area above ground and underground with the device, and knowledge of technical safety rules is imparted.

In order to form the necessary first aid habits in the event of an accident that may occur in the field, at the end, "First aid" trainings are held for the attendees.

Attendees who have completed the courses and successfully passed the exams will contribute to the performance of their respective official duties, as well as intensive demining operations in the Karabakh region.

A total of 60 people, 30 people from each institution, regularly participate in the 5-week trainings organized at the Goygol Regional Center of the Agency, including theoretical and practical lessons.

It was noted that regular training programs for the employees of the institutions involved in demining operations in the liberated territories, increasing the personnel potential, as well as the creation of new operational groups are one of the important steps taken in the direction of large-scale demining activities.
