Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) has warned bank customers who are card users.

It was stated that in order to prevent unauthorized use of funds in the bank account, payment card information should not be disclosed to other persons, even to bank employees or to persons presenting themselves as bank employees.

"APA-Economics" received information about this from ABA.

"Don't join pyramid fraud schemes spread on social networks, which promise to earn money in exchange for the amount you will pay, and transfer money to the payment card of people you don't know. In no case, the 16-digit number on the payment card, the payment card's expiration date, CVV (3 digits) located on the back code, do not present the one-time password (4 or 6 digits) you received based on SMS notification to other people. In this case, it will not be possible to return the lost funds," the Association said.

The ABA also added that banks do not request phone calls or other forms of payment card information from cardholders.

A citizen who encounters the mentioned situations should immediately contact the phone numbers on the payment card.
