The fire that started yesterday in Khalfalar village of Shabrn has already spread to 6 villages.

This was stated by Ilkin Agayev, the chairman of the Shabran District Emergency Commission, in his statement to APA's Northern Bureau.

"The most damage was done to Dagbilici village.

Here, one house was completely burnt, and fire broke out in two other auxiliary buildings," he said.

According to Ilkin Agayev, all preventive measures related to the fire have been taken, and there is no danger to the houses in the village.

The fire is still raging in bushy areas.

The local office of APA reports that the emergency personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are currently fighting the fire.

As reported, works are being continued in the direction of extinguishing the fire that occurred near the village of Khalfalar, Shabran region.

APA was told by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that several private buildings were damaged in the village of Khalfalar as a result of the fire that started in the harvested grain field.

Due to the complexity of the terrain and the windy weather, additional forces were brought to the area in order to speed up firefighting operations and prevent the fire from spreading to a wider area.

The forces of the State Fire Protection and Special Risk Rescue services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the forces of the Northern Regional Center, as well as the helicopter of the Ministry's aviation unit, are involved in extinguishing the fire.

Currently, firefighting operations are ongoing.
