Crowded beaches along Lake Ohrid added to the number of rescue interventions.

Water rescue teams have had 800 calls for first aid and 14 rescues of people who risked drowning.

Unpleasant events usually occur due to the carelessness of the swimmers themselves and not respecting the danger lines established in the lake.

In Ohrid, out of a total of 36 beaches, only 10 are safe for swimming, where 18 lifeguards are stationed.

Two people drowned in the waters of Lake Ohrid, who died due to health problems.

The Red Cross appeals that until the end of the season, swimming rules are respected and safe beaches are used to avoid unwanted situations.
