Heavy rains today caused severe flooding in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

One person was killed and two were injured in the storm that broke out today in Ankara, the district governor Vasip Şahin reported, quoted by CNN-Turk Turkish television.

Three people were reportedly injured when a support column collapsed at a construction site.

The accident happened because of the strong wind during the storm in the Turkish capital.

The injured workers were admitted to hospital, but despite the efforts of the doctors, one of the injured died.

Meteorologists have warned that the heavy rains in the area will continue in the coming hours, adds BTA.
