The Thai stock index on August 15, 65 closed at 1,625.25 points, an increase of 2.99 points, with a trading value of 72,517.63 million baht. Foreigners bought a net of 5,774.63 million baht.

Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has re-weighted its indices for the quarter. Around this time, KBANK was listed as one of 13 stocks included in the MSCI Global Standard index, giving analysts a more optimistic view of KBANK.

By Nomura Securities Pattanasin stated that MSCI announced a new list of shares. In regards to MSCI EMIndex, MSCI increased the weight of EM-ASIA + 0.08% to 77.92%, increasing the weight of 2 countries, China and Thailand, by China ( +0.26% to 31.24%) and Thailand (+0.03% to 2.01%), all of which will have weight adjustments on August 31, 65, while reducing weight for Taiwan, India and Korea.

MSCI Thailand was weighted +0.03% to 2.01%, equivalent to Net Inflow+102 million. MSCI added KBANK to MSCI Global Standard Index, amounting to $142 million, and MSCI chose KBANK as one of the EM ASIA's Top 5 Weight Gain Cycles

MSCI also increased weight of Thai JMT shares by around US$1 million while slightly reduced weight of Thai shares in BDMS, CPALL, ADVANC, CPN, BEM by around US$1-3 million each.

Therefore, Nomura Pattanasin recommends speculatively buying KBANK shares that enter MSCI and BAM that does not surprise MSCI.

While Asia Plus Securities stated that this round, KBANK is one of 13 stocks that are included in the MSCI Global Standard Index, which will be effective at the closing price on 31 August 65, based on historical statistics for the past two years. In the past, the stocks that were included have had the opportunity to continue rising until the effective date.

In conclusion, KBANK's return to the MSCI Global Standard Index is another force that attracts more fund flows to support the stocks.
