Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the public last night through a video, on the occasion of the fierce fighting and shelling that is happening around the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia.

Zelensky warned all the Russian soldiers stationed at the occupied nuclear power plant that they will be a special target of the armed forces of Ukraine, Telegraph reports.

He also emphasized that any soldier who is stationed in or around the plant will be a "special target" for Ukraine.

"Every Russian soldier and officer who shoots over the power station or shoots around, must understand that he will be a special target of our secret service, our elite units and the Ukrainian army in general," added Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president has warned the world that every day of Russian occupation of the nuclear power plant increases the risk of leakage of radioactive waste and their distribution throughout Europe.

He has called on all diplomats, representatives of friendly states to prepare the new package of sanctions against Russia, the seventh in a row that would punish and stop the attack on the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.

Zelensky ordered all those who are helping Russia to face international justice.
