The United States provided $150 million in aid to Afghanistan through three UN agencies.

According to APA, US special representative Thomas West informed about this.

"We are working hard to overcome the economic crisis in Afghanistan.

$150 million will help address food insecurity, keep Afghan children in school, and empower women and girls," West said.

Of the allocated funds, 80 million dollars were paid by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, 40 million dollars by UNICEF, and 30 million dollars by the Women's Organization.
