A serious accident with a bus took place on the Trakia highway, with many injured, reports dir.bg, citing information from eyewitnesses.

The accident took place in the area of ​​the 216th kilometer of the highway in the direction of Sofia at around 8:10 p.m.

The bus has turned on its side in the ditch, with tens of meters of the wet banquette dug up.

Police and emergency teams arrived on the scene, and many drivers stopped and helped to remove the injured people from the bus.

The highway lanes are wet as heavy rain fell in the area shortly before the crash.
