The health system in Macedonia is in complete collapse.

Patients run away from testing, while health authorities see treatment protocols for the contagious disease "monkey pox".

Again, just like with Covid-19, the health authorities have been late with the protocols and the way of treatment and isolation with this new pandemic that is spreading massively throughout Europe and the world, says the OBRM-PDUKM communique.

From OBRM-PDUKM they ask who would have been responsible if the patient who refused to be tested, after they somehow found him, would be positive for this infection?

"Would the minister or the commission be held responsible if this person were to infect his fellow citizens with smallpox, because we are not prepared in any way to face pandemics.

Thousands of our fellow citizens died from Covid-19 because we did not have vaccines in time, we did not have enough capacity in hospitals to receive patients, but this irresponsible government did not learn from the Covid-19 pandemic.

That's why we ask again, when will Minister Bekim Sali and the Infectious Diseases Commission come up with protocols for this new "monkey pox" pandemic?

Should the same scenario as with Covid-19 happen to us again?

The authorities must stop pursuing tenders and enrich themselves at the expense of the health and lives of citizens.

Urgent measures should be taken so that it does not repeat itself like the first suspected case, which fortunately is negative for this disease.

The irresponsibility of the health authorities must be stopped before it is too late", says the statement of OBRM-PDUKM.
