In order to improve the tourism infrastructure, the State Tourism Agency organized a visit to the "Basgal" State Historical and Cultural Reserve, where reconstruction and restoration works are being carried out.

APA informs that the media representatives were informed about the repair-restoration, conservation and reconstruction works started in the "Basgal" State Historical-Cultural territory.

They were informed about the historical findings discovered as a result of fundamental archaeological researches in Galabaşı area, in the market square where 8 historical neighborhoods are connected, inside the Sheikh Mohammad mosque, as well as the Basqal bath, which is considered one of the important historical monuments of the reserve.

It was noted that the Basgal bath was taken under state control in order to protect our material and cultural samples, and it was fundamentally restored as a Bath Museum on the Market Square.

It was reported that as a result of ethnographic and scientific-historical research, the history of Basgal was deeply studied and a scientific-inventory fund of the reserve was prepared.

Here, thousands of valuable manuscripts related to religious, scientific and social life, written in the old alphabet, were discovered and handed over to the museum fund of the reserve.

Also, the occupation of the population living in Basgal during the last two hundred years, the historical evolution of handicrafts were revealed, numerous historical materials were obtained to be used in the fields of scientific journalism and cultural tourism.

As part of the media tour, information was provided about the Basgal Tourism Information Center, which was opened by the head of state yesterday.

It was reported that 12 employees will work in the center.

Parking spaces for 4 buses and 47 cars have also been created here.

It was also mentioned that the opening of the Silk Center in Basgal is planned in the future.

Design works are currently underway.

Masterclasses will be organized in the center for tourists coming to Baskal.

It should be recalled that on August 12, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the "Diri Baba" tomb and the "Basgal" State Historical-Architecture Reserve and got acquainted with the reconstruction and restoration works carried out here.
