The appellate court remanded the Turkish bus driver who caused the serious accident on the Ruse-Veliko Tarnovo road into custody, the court announced. 

The Veliko Tarnovo Appellate Court dismissed the defendant's request to change the measure to a lighter one.

The crash happened in the early hours of August 6.

While driving a bus with Romanian registration, the driver hit a car stopped on the side of the road.

According to the prosecutor's office, the driver was not in control of the vehicle and was speeding.

Four people died in the accident.

Five of the more seriously injured were taken by helicopter to Romania.

Actions on the investigation continue under the leadership of the District Prosecutor's Office - Veliko Tarnovo.
