After Vanço Mihajllov in Manastir, King Boris III in Ohrid, now Bogdanca will become a Bulgarian cultural center and will bear the name of King Ferdinand.

This was published on social networks by Viktor Stojanov, chairman of the "Macedonia" Foundation from Sofia.

The association "King Boris III" was the last one to raise the opinion, after the Ministry of Justice announced that for this historical figure from the time of fascism, they did not give consent for the use of this name.

"The Ministry of Justice has not received any request for a positive opinion in the procedure for registration of the Association "King Boris III", says the Ministry of Justice.

From the Central Registry they say that a family member of the Bulgarian king gave his consent.

The Ministry of Justice adds that this practice will end after the amendments to the Law on Associations and Foundations, for which a working group is currently engaged.

"The establishment of the organization is prohibited if its program and actions are oriented towards the violent disruption of the constitutional order of the Republic of North Macedonia, the incitement and call for military aggression and the incitement of national, racial or religious hatred or intolerance, if it undertakes activities related to with terrorism, undertakes activities that are contrary to the Constitution or the law and violate the freedoms and rights of other persons", say the Central Registry.

The Jewish community reacts to, as they say, "the easy way in which Nazism and fascism are glorified in our country and the language of hatred is spread."

On the other hand, the Association claims that they were not neo-Nazis, but that they collaborated with anti-Semitic movements.

Otherwise, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, four months ago announced the opening of a Macedonian cultural center in Blagoevgrad by the end of the year.

"I plan to inform Prime Minister Petkov that in the following period we plan to open a new cultural center in Bulgaria, and we will determine the name in coordination with our Institute of History, and I will invite you, dear Mizrahi, to come to opening", declared Dimitar Kovacevski, Prime Minister (28.04.2022).

The Government told TV21 that they continue with the idea of opening a cultural center in Bulgaria.

"The government of North Macedonia plans to open a new cultural center in Blagoevgrad of the Republic of Bulgaria by the end of the year.

We emphasize that we will choose the name of the cultural center in consultation with the Institute of National History.

In the meantime, all the details will be defined", says the Government.

King Boris III led Bulgaria during World War II as an ally of Nazi Germany.

He often stayed on official visits to Berlin and met with Adolf Hitler, for which there is still video evidence.

During his rule, Macedonian Jews were deported to Treblinka.
