Regarding natural gas, there are serious anomalies in the behavior of Kiril Petkov's government, as the cabinet hastened to terminate the supplies under the contract with "Gazprom Export" and did not do what was necessary to replace these supplies.

That's what Temenuzka Petkova said

According to her, the project for the gas connection with Greece has not been in existence for 12 years.

The contract provided for the construction to end in April 2021. In view of the pandemic, the deadline was extended to December 31, 2021, Temenuzka Petkova emphasized

According to her, it was necessary to launch an international tender on the basis of which the necessary quantities of natural gas for the country would be secured.

Petkov's cabinet hastened to include intermediaries who are resupplying us with Russian gas at a 30% higher price.

"Not long from now, the competent authorities will deal with why Bulgargaz ceded its rights, obligations and opportunities to provide natural gas for Bulgaria to intermediaries in the chain, who would increase the price of gas supplies to our country," added the former energy minister.

According to Petkov, the Petkov government paid a colossal amount to a law firm to conduct the negotiations with Gazprom Export, and this should also be subject to analysis in the future.

It will be interesting what advice this firm gave, how the negotiations went, what exactly was the misunderstanding between Gazprom and the Bulgarian government.

Because the cabinet was a fierce defender of "Lukoil" when it asked the European Commission for a derogation for Russian oil, but when it came to Bulgargaz directly supplying natural gas to the Bulgarian market, the government was very liberal, Temenuzhka Petkova also said
