Banning the entry of Russian tourists to the Schengen region is the Achilles' heel for Moscow, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas announced today, a day after her country banned the entry of Russians.

Estonia has banned Russians from entering this country with Schengen visas, and the government in Tallinn decided that from August 18, Russian citizens will be banned from entering Estonia, despite the fact that they are equipped with Schengen visas, Telegrafi reports.

"You have to understand that only 10 percent of the Russian population travels abroad - and they are based in Moscow and St. Petersburg," said the Estonian Prime Minister.

"Dmitry Medvedev's reaction shows that it is about the Achilles heel.

They have been afraid of this from the beginning", added Kallas.

We remind you that Russia has banned air traffic for Russians who teach Europe.

This means that they can only reach Europe through three countries, Finland, Estonia and Latvia.

A few days ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Western countries to stop the entry of Russian citizens - this request was immediately joined by Kallas and Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.

"It is not right for Russians to travel as tourists, while Russia is leading an aggressive war in Europe," added the Estonian prime minister.
