The team of Narcotics Squad of West district has arrested a drug peddler.

More than 21 kg of ganja has been recovered from him.

The accused is a Bhojpuri singer and has sung more than 100 songs.

Police have arrested the accused by registering a case at Indrapuri police station under NC NDPS Act.

It is being ascertained from where he had brought the ganja and who was going to sell it.

According to West Delhi DCP Ghanshyam Bansal, on August 10, the team of Narcotics Squad had received a specific information that a drug peddler Vinay Sharma would come to meet someone in Todapur village, Indrapuri.

The team laid a trap near Todapur and around 10:30 a.m. a man was spotted, identified by the informer as Vinay.

The team caught him.

On interrogation, he was fully identified as 31-year-old Vinay Sharma, who hails from Siwan, Bihar.

More than 21 kg of ganja was recovered from him.

According to the police, Vinay is a famous Bhojpuri singer, who has sung more than 100 songs.
