The second phase of the coded "Remote" police operation is finalized.

The police seize 3 remote control mines in Korçë and arrest 35-year-old P.Ç from Lezha.

Another case of criminal activity in the field of production, sale and trafficking of remote-controlled mines is dealt with, preventing possible criminal events.

The operation developed after several weeks of investigative work, by the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Korçë Judicial District.

1 other citizen is handcuffed, 3 remote control mines, mounted with suspected C4 plastic explosive material, are seized.

The number of those detained and the number of seized mines is 2, during both phases of the operation, where the first phase was finalized 6 months ago.

Following the police operation coded "Remote", started 6 months ago, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Traffic in DVP Korçë, under the guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Korçë Judicial District, after several weeks of investigative work, successfully completed the phase his second.

As a result, citizen Pavlin Cupi, 35 years old, resident of the village of Rrilë, Lezhë, was caught and arrested in the act for the criminal offenses of "Illegal Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition" and "Trafficking of Weapons and of ammunition".

Based on the information provided by the police that a citizen would try to sell remote-controlled mines, which could be suspected of being used in criminal activity in the city of Korça, the services were organized, it became possible to locate the person and capture his in the place called "Enkelana", in Pogradec.

During the control exercised by the police forces of the "Mercedes-Benz" type vehicle, which this citizen was driving, 3 remote control mines, mounted with suspected C4 plastic explosives, were found in the trunk and seized as material evidence.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the investigations are continuing for the complete documentation of this illegal activity and for the legal responsibility of other implicated persons.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Korça Judicial District for further action.
