The "Polar Star" international competition among special purpose units takes place on the territory of Belarus on the basis of the "Beraścieisky" training ground from August 14 to 26 as part of the VIII International Army Games.

Specialists from Russia, Venezuela, Iran, Uzbekistan and Sudan arrived at the Baranavichy airfield to participate in international competitions

Teams of the armed forces of six countries - Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, Sudan, Iran and Uzbekistan - take part in the competition.

The opening ceremony will be held on August 14.

"Special purpose units from Russia, Venezuela, Sudan and Iran arrived at the Baranavichy airfield in the Republic of Belarus on a military transport aircraft of the Russian Air Force to participate in the Polar Star-2022 International Competition," the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus said in a statement.

It is noted that the participants of the competition will demonstrate their skills in various stages and exercises of the competition, including the storming of the building with hostages and landing on the accuracy of the landing as part of the group.
