The issue around the Lachin Corridor should be resolved according to paragraph 6 of the tripartite statement adopted by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on November 10, 2020.

APA reports that this was said by Ivan Nechayev, deputy director of the information and printing department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

"Paragraph 6 of the tripartite statement envisages the construction of a new route through the Lachin Corridor within the next 3 years, which will ensure the connection between Karabakh and Armenia, and where the Russian peacekeeping contingent will be redeployed to protect the road," he said.

Ivan Nechayev added that Russia is carefully monitoring the situation in the region.
