The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has published today a video with details from the new tourist port of Durrës.

In a post on Facebook, Rama said that the memorandum of cooperation that was signed yesterday with the companies that will build the port is a decisive step towards the finalization of the project, paving the way for the parliamentary procedures for concluding the contract for the construction of the port.

He also stated that the project will be realized thanks to an investment of over 2 billion dollars, with the direct support of the President of the United Emirates, Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed.

"Good morning, and with the pleasure of taking a decisive step yesterday, with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, which opens the way to the parliamentary procedure for the historic contract for the construction of the largest tourist port in the Mediterranean in Durrës, thanks to an investment of over 2 MLD USD , with the direct support of the President of the United Emirates, Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed, I wish you a good day", wrote Rama.

Present yesterday at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between "Eagle Hills Real Estate Development" shpk and "Albanian Seaports Development Company" sh.a, Rama described the construction of the tourist port of Durrës as an opportunity that not only the city where this will take place investment, but all of Albania will change once and for all.

"This is a project that will forever change not only Durrës, but all of Albania.

With the construction of this port, the property value of all the citizens of Durrës will increase exponentially, the value of all the hotels on the coastline will increase.

This is about the completely different image that Albania will have in the world.

If today the salaries in Montenegro are the highest in the region, this started with "Porto Monte Negro".

Durrës will be the largest port in the Mediterranean, it will be the twin port of Dubai's navy," said Rama.
