Jamshedpur:

In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a teenager, along with her 37-year-old boyfriend, killed her parents with a hammer and a pressure cooker.

The police gave this information on Tuesday.

According to the police, the teenager killed her parents because they had stopped her from leaving the house and marrying her.

Police said the couple was found lying in a pool of blood at their house in Manifit under Telco police station area on Monday and their 15-year-old daughter was missing.

Claiming to have solved the case in less than 24 hours, Superintendent of Police (city) K Vijay Shankar said that the girl and her lover were nabbed from their rented house in Omnagar under Birsanagar police station area on Tuesday morning.

He said that the girl was about to run away from home with her boyfriend on Sunday night to get married, but her parents woke up.

When his father (42) and mother (35) stopped him from leaving, the accused beat him to death with a hammer and pressure cooker, the officer said.

After this the girl escaped with her boyfriend on a scooter.


A hammer, blood-stained pressure cooker and scooter have been recovered, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 302 (murder).
