Rositsa Dimitrova is the new director of the Border Police.

She was appointed to replace Deyan Mollov.

The rollover starts today and is by order of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, reported in

"24 Chasa".

Mollov took over last year.

He became famous as the person who discovered the double murderer Stoyan Zaikov-Chane, who killed two people in Kostenets in 2019 and was hiding for 20 days before Mollov found him.

So far, there are no known reasons for Mollov's removal.

His former deputy, Rositsa Dimitrova, sits in his chair.

She holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy and a Master's degree in Law from Southwestern Neophyte Rilski University.

He has been working in the Ministry of the Interior since 2003.

She held executive positions - operational worker and investigative police officer in DATO and SDVR.

Since 22.10.2015, he has been the head of the department "Combating smuggling and crime across the state border" in the Main Directorate "Border Police".

This is the third change of leadership in the Ministry of Internal Affairs since Demerdzhiev took office.

He removed the head of the police Ventsislav Kirchev and replaced him with Atanas Ilkov.

Before that, the director of "Property Management and Social Activities" in the Ministry of Internal Affairs also left her post.

On Monday, the interior minister said that he will not purge the Ministry of the Interior, but will only part with the people with whom he is convinced that he cannot achieve his goals.
