The victim had approached the commission for legal help.

Because a lower court in Unnao has issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

In December 2018, an FIR was registered against the victim, her mother and uncle for forgery, cheating etc. in connection with the victim's school leaving certificate at the behest of complainant Haripal Singh in Unnao.

Haripal Singh is the father of Shubham Singh, who is accused of kidnapping and raping the victim on 11 June 2017, and is currently being tried for the gang rape of the victim in Delhi.

It has been alleged by the complainant Haripal Singh that a false case was registered against her son, his wife and Kuldeep Sengar on the basis of the victim's 'fake school transfer certificate'.

Delhi Commission for Women has sought legal aid from senior advocate Vrinda Grover in the matter.

Along with the application for the return of the non-bailable warrant under the supervision of Vrinda Grover ji, an application is being made for the victim to appear through video conferencing in the case.

The case is being fought in Unnao by lawyer Ajay Gautam.

Apart from this, efforts are being made to file the matter in the Supreme Court to transfer the matter from Unnao to Delhi.
