The Basic Court in Mitrovica found the accused LH guilty and sentenced him to one year of conditional imprisonment and a 400 euro fine, after he pleaded guilty to firing a gun at a wedding in 2016.

The judgment was announced on Wednesday by the judge of the case, Mentor Hajraj, reports "Oath of Justice".

Accused H. was being charged by the prosecution for the criminal offenses 

Using a weapon or a dangerous tool" and "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons".

The court, for the criminal offense of 

Using a dangerous weapon or tool" imposed a suspended sentence of one year's imprisonment on the accused, which sentence will not be executed if the accused, within two years after the judgment becomes final, does not commits another criminal offense.

However, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession, control or possession of weapons" the accused was sentenced to a 400 euro fine, which he is obliged to pay within 15 days of the finality of this judgment.

Furthermore, if the accused does not pay the fine of 400 euros within the deadline set by the court, this penalty will be replaced by a prison sentence, calculating 20 euros with one day of imprisonment.

Otherwise, the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica on June 18, 2019 filed an indictment against LH because on August 5, 2016, around 10:50 in the village of Zhabar i Epërm, municipality of Mitrovica, being aware of the importance of his actions, he used a weapon contrary to the legal provisions, where at a wedding party he shot 4 bullets from the "Bruni" type pistol, model 92, serial no. Bel-00073, caliber 9 mm.

With this, he committed the criminal offense - "Using a weapon or a dangerous tool" from article 375 par.1 of the KPRK.

In the second point of the provision, the accused H. is charged that from the unverified date until August 5, 2016 in the village of Zhabar i Epërm, Municipality of Mitrovica, being aware of the importance of his actions and the prohibition of the same, in his "Golf 6" type motor vehicle, without authorization he possessed the "Bruni" model 92 gas pistol, serial no. Bel-00073, caliber 9mm.

According to the indictment, the same weapon was confiscated by the competent authorities on the same day.

With this, he committed the criminal offense - "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons" from article 374 par.1 of the KPRK, in real connection with the criminal offense in the first point of the provision.
