The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia today rejected all speculations that new obligations are being prepared between North Macedonia and Bulgaria.

The MFA says that there is nothing beyond the principles agreed in the joint protocol signed between the two countries.

"Regarding the speculations presented in the public opinion about alleged new joint documents between North Macedonia and Bulgaria, allow us to inform you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely following the process of forming the technical Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the development of internal and external policies, in which case the important focus that is dedicated to our bilateral relations as an important element of the new government also encourages", say, among other things, from the MFA.

We recall that yesterday, the new first person for foreign affairs of Bulgaria, Nikolaj Milkov, announced the idea of formulating a new document for the fulfillment of the duties of the Republic of Macedonia towards Bulgaria, this statement which immediately provoked the reaction of the Macedonian opposition party OBRM-PDUKM.
