Lulzim Peci, executive director of the "KIPRED" Institute, has said that the recently launched campaign to allow the wearing of the Islamic headscarf in schools is aimed at introducing political Islam through state institutions.

Peci, through a post on Facebook, has said that he hopes that the Government of Kosovo will not make a major mistake by changing the Administrative Instruction that prohibits the wearing of the religious uniform - headscarf in schools, since, according to him, with this secular character of the country our foundation will be hit, "and with this the supporting pillar of the Albanian identity in our country.

Peci's reaction comes after a few days that social networks have been calling for a change in the administrative instruction that prohibits the wearing of headscarves in schools.

"First of all, the question must be asked, what agenda are those who are seeking this thing pushing?

Are we dealing here with human rights, or with what it has a real name - the introduction of political Islam through the small door into state institutions?

I am convinced that it has to do with the second one, which basically has to do with changing the secular character of Kosovo that will destroy the social cohesion of our people.

What I am saying are not conjectures, but a conviction built on field research, developed in recent years in many parts of Kosovo", he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday evening.

According to Peci, the request to allow headscarves in schools is a "long-term agenda" and that "there are future generations in mind".

He said that with this request, the social and political character of the country and the people should be changed.

"Such an agenda basically aims to spread an anti-Western agenda, which is contrary to the very basis of the European civilization of the Albanian people, and which, through the premises of the 'Muslim brotherhood', metastasizes the ideology of the 'Muslim Ummah' ' which has now assumed the dimensions of a 'global nation', which does not recognize the national identities of the various nations that have Islamic believers.

The 'Muslim Ummah' is taking root among the new generations.

A significant number of young people consider the Muslims of a distant Islamic country, such as Indonesia, whom they have never met in their lives, to be closer than an Albanian of another denomination, or an atheist," he said. continued Peci.

Peci says that "with this agenda, the wishes of Serbia and other enemies of Kosovo would be fulfilled, just as Russia's wishes were fulfilled towards Chechnya, from a people with secular nationalism, when they were under the leadership of General Dudayev, and almost they had independence in hand, turned into dirty vassals of Russia under the leadership of the Islamic radical Kadyrov, who coexists with Russian Orthodoxy, and fights against pro-Western Ukraine".

"Almost none of the Islamic countries consider Putin's Russia an enemy, while they respect American defense, mainly because of their fear of Iran.

Therefore, we must put our finger on the head, and not destroy the future of the country and our people, who have achieved freedom and independence with many sacrifices and with the key help of the West, where we also have the country as a civilized nation. European", wrote Peci, Telegrafi reports.

The request to change the administrative instruction has started to be widely distributed on social networks.

Many citizens are writing in comments to the government with this request.

Since 2014, there is an administrative instruction of the Ministry of Education, which prohibits the wearing of headscarves in schools.

Even though it is not currently fully implemented as an act, someone wants it to be changed as such, and that point does not exist at all.

The former advisor to Prime Minister Albin Kurit, lawyer Durim Berisha, has sent a request to the Ministry of Education for the cancellation of the contested article of the Administrative Instruction.

In addition to this request, Facebook has launched a photo campaign with the hashtag #dryshojeni_ua_per_shaminė.

Its organizer Liridon Kurti says that they have received great support.

According to him, if within 45 days the ministry does not handle the request, they will file a lawsuit against the latter.

Even the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK), addressing the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Information (MASHTI) and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has requested that the wearing of headscarves be allowed in schools.

In the announcement of the BIK, it is stated that this is a timely request which should not be politicized or polarized, but should be handled with maximum responsibility and correctness.
